Students and teachers work cooperatively to help students take ownership for their classroom experience.
Students recognise their existing abilities and interests, and commit to a project of their own choosing. Teachers help implement tracking systems that document students’ learning efforts, and these documents are used as evidence relative to mandated curriculum standards.
The Human Portfolio Project is rooted in the fields of Positive Psychology and Systemic Design, and is introduced to students through the language of personal finance and the practice of business development. This program has been implemented in 5 courses to date, and Eric is hard at work putting together case studies that will be posted here as soon as possible.
