Worth Watching: Walk to School

Jennifer Keesmaat is an urban planner. That means she’s someone who’s interested in the way cities get built. Last month, she got the job as Toronto’s new chief planner.

A few years back, Keesmaat gave a talk that explains the value of walking to school. I especially like the part at the three minute mark, when she talks about walking as an entry to becoming a more autonomous young adult.
